Festival of Wreaths
The Festival of the Wreaths is a silent auction of decorated wreaths. Many wreaths are simply beautiful and creative adorned wreaths and others feature gift certificates or merchandise from area businesses.

Gingerbread House Exhibit
On December 5 from 4 to 6 PM the exhibit of entries for the Annual Gingerbread House Contest will open. The exhibit will be open from 10 AM to 5 PM daily through December 22. Come in and cast your vote for your favorite entry. The aroma alone is worth the visit!

Kids on Stage Holiday Production
This year Kids on Stage offers three performances of Twas the Night Before Christmas. Show dates and times are December 5 and 6 at 7 PM and December 7 at 2 PM. All shows will take place at the Middlebury Union High School Auditorium.

A Very Merry Middlebury
Very Merry Middlebury is a traditional small town celebration of the season. Events take place throughout the Town of Middlebury and feature visits with Santa at the Middlebury Community House, horse-drawn wagon rides to other events in town. The Henry Sheldon Museum of Vermont History, Ilsley Library and Vermont Folklife Center all feature special events or exhibits at that time.

Winter Market at Town Hall Theater
Throughout the winter the Addison County Localvores will be holding winter markets featuring local growers, bakers, cheesemakers and craftspeople.

Santa Saturdays on December 6 and 13
On the first Saturday in December the Better Middlebury Partnership provides visits with Santa at the Middlebury Community House on Main Street and on December 13 Santa will be at Maple Landmark Woodcraft at 1297 Exchange Street. Horse-drawn wagon rides will be available at the Community House on December 6.

Lessons and Carols for Advent and Christmas
Annually there are two celebrations of the Lessons and Carols for Advent and Christmas at Middlebury College. These are free and open to the public
